Delete some of your VINMaven data

You can remove specific data and keep your account. To delete everything, see delete your account.

Do it yourself in the app (right away)

• Search history: Account, then Clear search history.
• Saved cars: open Saved and remove a car.
• Hidden cars, lenders, insurers, reviews and blocked dealerships: Account, then Hidden.
• Offers: open the offer in Deals and remove or withdraw it.
• Loan and insurance requests: open Money, choose the request and tap Withdraw.
• Reviews you wrote: open the review and delete it.
• Your name: Account, then edit your name.
• Trade-in details and your offer drafts are kept on your phone only; uninstalling the app removes them.

Or ask us by email

Email support@vinmaven.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Data deletion request", and list what you want removed. For example: my search history, my saved cars, my loan and insurance requests, my offers to dealerships, my reviews, or my phone number on offers I sent.

We confirm by email and complete requests within 30 days, usually within 7.

What we keep, and why

• Payment records, which our payment processor (Stripe) keeps for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically 7 years.
• A dealership's record of an offer (the car, the amounts and the dates). We remove your name, phone, email and message from it on request.
• Anonymous usage statistics that can't identify you, and reports about other people's content (kept without your name) so we can handle safety issues.
• Requests already sent to a lender or insurer are also held by that company under its own privacy policy. Ask them directly to delete their copy.
